Nestled in the heart of the ancient city of Aleppo,
The Mansouriya Palace Hotel is a delightful surprise of old world charm and sublime luxury and comfort. Built in the late 16th century in the former Christian quarters close to the citadel of Aleppo, this boutique hotel has been renovated to its former glory with painstaking detail and finesse by acclaimed architect Anne Judet and Parisienne interior designer Catherine Chasset Le Chevallier. It is the first five star boutique hotel in Aleppo.
ACCOMMODATION:
'The scent of jasmine with the orange and lemon trees complements the delicate colours of the roses, violets and bougainvillea. Birdsong in the courtyard alights the senses while then the views over the city during sunset are something quite unforgettable. The Suites at The Mansouriya Palace Hotel therefore had to encapsulate this wonderful atmosphere and the rich heritage that Aleppo offers’. We hope you enjoy staying here as much as we enjoyed creating these exquisite suites.
facilities:
The Mansouriya Palace Hotel specialises in traditional home-cooked Aleppine cuisine which combines the eclectic ingredients and traditions from centuries of influences: Arabic, Greek, Armenian, Turkish and Jewish. The main restaurant is beneath vaulted ceilings in the former cellar where there is still evidence of an ancient well. Historically, it was used to keep the food cool after it had been covered in salt or oil to preserve it. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served here, but the room can be hired for private parties or functions.
Cookery television shows have been filmed in the renowned kitchens of The Mansouriya Palace Hotel and guests are welcome to receive cooking lessons or just observe the ancient traditions of Syrian cuisine in practice.
The Turkish and Middle Eastern tradition of hammam body scrubbing is practised in the Spa. The Mansouriya Palace Hotel also boasts the largest private Jacuzzi in Syria and offers rejuvenating or relaxing massages to complete the cleansing of body and mind.
The Grand Chamber, or Ka’a, is an elegant venue for private parties, wedding receptions or even a location for lectures and seminars. This reception room is the crowning glory of the palace. It has capacity for up to 60 people for either dining or seating. The restaurant and individual suites can also be hired for private parties.
